Comick Chapter Loader is a browser extension that enhances your reading experience on Comick.dev. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Data Collection

Our extension operates with minimal data collection:

• •Local Storage Only: Chapter URLs and reading preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device.
• •No Personal Information: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information such as names, email addresses, or user IDs.
• •No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use any analytics tools, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking services.
• •API Requests: The extension makes API requests to our backend server only to fetch site status information and extension version updates. These requests do not include any personally identifiable information.

Permissions

The extension requires certain permissions to function properly:

• •storage: To save your chapter URLs and preferences locally in your browser.
• •tabs: To open chapter pages in background tabs for scraping chapter images.
• •scripting: To inject scripts that extract chapter images from supported scanlation sites.
• •host_permissions: To access Comick.dev and supported scanlation sites (Asura Scans, Flame Comics, Vortex Scans, Utoon, Hive Scans, Qi Scans, Thunder Scans) for scraping chapter images.

These permissions are only used for the extension's core functionality and are never used to collect or transmit your personal data.

Third-Party Services

The extension interacts with the following services:

• •Comick.dev: The primary website where the extension operates. We do not control Comick.dev's privacy practices.
• •Scanlation Sites: The extension scrapes chapter images from supported sites (Asura Scans, Flame Comics, Vortex Scans, Utoon, Hive Scans, Qi Scans, Thunder Scans). We do not control these sites' privacy practices.
• •Our API Server: Hosted on Vercel (comick-api-ivory.vercel.app) for fetching site status and extension updates. No personal data is logged or stored on our servers.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• •Access: You can view all stored data using Chrome's Developer Tools → Application → Storage → Local Storage.
• •Delete: You can clear all extension data by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's local storage.
• •Disable: You can disable the extension at any time through Chrome's extension management page.

Security

We take security seriously. All API communications use HTTPS encryption. Since we don't collect personal data, there's minimal risk of data breaches. The extension's source code is open-source and available for security audits.
